GOKARNA - Beach trek.
BREACH TREK!
Gokarna is a small town in Karnataka,
India. Also referred to as mini Goa, it is a beautiful town in Western Ghats
known for its temples and stunning beaches. It was a 2 day trip with 19 unknown
people (excluding me).we traveled in NON-AC train and bus. They were 2 things
we had to do on this trip 1st to visit JOG FALLS which is the second-largest
waterfall in India and 2nd is the beach trek.
We started with our train journey
from Hyderabad to Hubli. The journey was fun and exciting since I got to meet a
lot of different people throughout the voyage. On arriving at Hubli station the
next day, we had breakfast and were all set for the jog falls. The falls were
almost 4 hours from the station.
On arriving the falls we immediately
took pictures, had lunch and decided to go all the way down to get the best out
of it. This is approximately 1400 steps, not the best decision we made going
down was easy but coming up was like an intense workout.
On reaching down we realized there
was not a lot to see which was pretty disappointing and decide to go back up
which almost took me 30 minutes and few of them even took 45 minutes.
TIP- we plan to go all the way down
don’t carry a backpack just a water bottle will do.
We finally started to head to our
main destination Gokarna. We arrived at Gokarna took our bag pack and headed to
OM beach. We reached the beach just after the sunset but were able to capture a
few after sunset pictures. We took the night off from each other and explored
different things.
Next day was an early start, at 5:30 we all assembled and
started our journey to cover the 5 different
beaches, starting with paradise beach where we meet the group of people camping
next to the devils hell which was quite rocky and slippery but we all made it
out safely next was half-moon beach and then full moon beach and at last back
to OM beach it was long and quite adventures trek. It was 9:30 – 10 am by the
time we had breakfast and headed right back our bus.
This trek was possible through the
Hyderabad trekking club.
THANK YOU!
